Aprovecho un post de Fabio titulado Trapos Sucios para contestarle con un extracto de algo que escribi hace un tiempo acerca de las cosas que me molestan de la calle. El ítem numero uno es por supuesto los trapitos. Esto es lo que decía en julio del 2009.

El máximo de las roturas de huevos en la calle para mi son los “franelitas” o “cuida coches”, es una especie sumamente organizada con varias jerarquías que tienen el control del estacionamiento en la ciudad. Nuca supe para que mierda sirven, cumplen ninguna función salvo muy específicos casos en donde te pueden hacer un lugar moviendo varios autos, aunque la verdad es que el no-lugar lo hicieron ellos moviendo estratégicamente los autos con anterioridad. No evitan robos, siempre que hay alguno desaparecen de la cuadra. Es muy común últimamente que tenga una tarifa pre paga en los lugares donde hay espectáculos donde uno se ve obligado a abonar para evitar el deterioro de nuestro vehículo por las inclemencias de las “llaves” en la chapa. Dije que están sumamente organizados por que en 8 años de estacionar siempre en el mismo lugar no han faltado jamas un puto día salvo lluvia intensa. Si se enferman siempre aparece mágicamente un reemplazo. Lamentablemente son imposibles de erradicar ya que estos individuos hacen mucho dinero, a veces mucho mas que las personas dueñas de los autos que ellos dicen cuidar. He visto franelas llegar en auto ultimo modelo, dejarlo a unas cuadras y ponerse la ropa de croto para ir a “trabajar”. Detesto mucho cuando tratas de ignorarlos y ellos se te acercan con un “se lo cuido” o “te lo miro” y uno trata de no mirarlos siquiera por que consideran esa mirada como una implícita aceptación del servicio que supuestamente brindan. Está mas que claro que no cuidan una mierda, si le das la moneda antes de sacar el auto se borran y no te dan una mano para salir, si es un evento como recital o partido de fútbol solo están ahí a la entrada. Cuando toda la gente entró al lugar ellos se borran.

Hay solo una solución a este problema, es muy difícil por que tenemos que estar TODOS unidos y de acuerdo en hacerlo. Tenemos que dejar de darles plata por dos meses y se acaba el problema pero para que funcione como ya lo dije lo tenemos que hacer todos. Si solo yo dejo de darle plata no sirve de nada, pero si todos dejamos de alimentarlos durante dos meses van a tener que ir a laburar o buscar otra forma de subsistencia para poder comer. Así de simple, ellos no recaudan, la policía no recauda, la mafia no recauda, dos meses seguidos y se rompe la cadena, cagaron. Va a ser doloroso, algunos rayones aparecerán pero los beneficios serán mayores, estén seguros.

Gmail is set to become Google’s next major push into social media. According to The Wall Street Journal, the popular webmail service will soon launch a new feature for sharing content and status updates with friends. [Update: We think Google might announce these features on Tuesday]

As WSJ points out, Gmail users can already update their statuses — sort of — through Gmail’s chat feature. Currently, this feature is more akin to the traditional IM “away message.” However, with this new social push, Gmail will offer a timeline-view of your friends’ status updates, just like on Facebook and Twitter.

Those updates might come from both Gmail and third-party services. According to WSJ, Google-owned YouTube and Picasa will be integrated into the stream. The huge question then is whether or not the new feature will include updates from Twitter and Facebook.

If so, the new features could be thought of more like a TweetDeck or Seesmic, looking to provide an aggregate view of your friends’ social media activities along with the ability to push status updates to the services you use from inside of Gmail. If not, it could be thought of as a major competitor to Twitter and Facebook as Gmail looks to covert its millions of e-mail users into adherents to a whole new breed of social media service.

An issue with the latter, however, is that Gmail has historically added people to your contacts based on e-mail interactions. Hence, this contact list often varies significantly from your friends on social sites where relationships need to be made explicitly.

In other words, your Gmail contacts aren’t necessarily the same people you want to share status updates, photos and videos with. This is an issue that shouldn’t be overlooked in evaluating the new features Google is soon to unveil.

All right Tweetdeck fans, rev up your engines and prepare to update to Tweetdeck 0.33, which adds a slew of new features, better API management and more in-Tweetdeck media previews.

Some of the highlights:

Tweetdeck Can Manage Your Twitter API Usage — This means that the program can delegate how to use your available API calls so that the most important info gets to you as easily as possible. Plus, Tweetdeck now uses OAuth and can request up to 350 API calls an hour, and that is expected to increase soon.

Better Column Management — You can now view Flickr, YouTube and Posterous media within Tweetdeck.
